Is a $600 Scotty still the putter to buy?
I wanted to know if LAB’s zero-torque thing is the real story — or if craftsmanship still wins at this price.
Your GPS is not a caddie. Stop treating it like one.
Arccos, GolfLogix, and Bushnell all give you a number. I stopped confusing that number with a decision.
Tour B X or XS? I would start with your wedge, not the tour sticker.
Two Bridgestone tour balls. One letter. I wanted to know if the XS is actually the one most golfers should skip.
Chrome Soft or Chrome Soft X? The X is not automatically better.
I keep seeing golfers buy the X because it sounds like the tour version. That is not a fitting.
TP5 or TP5x? I would not guess from the box.
Same price. Same five-piece story. Different ball. I compared them the way you actually buy a dozen.
Pro V1 or Pro V1x? The short answer is: stop guessing.
I keep getting asked which one to buy. The difference is real. It is also smaller than the internet wants it to be.
Lag Shot or SKLZ? Tempo toys are only useful if you swing them.
Two tempo trainers. I compared the one I would keep by the door.
I didn’t expect the cheaper laser to make this interesting.
Bushnell Tour V6 versus Precision Pro NX10. We compared what they actually lock onto, not the launch-week copy.
Vessel or Sunday? I cared about the walk, not the lookbook.
Two premium carry bags that sell a lifestyle. I compared straps, pockets, and whether I would still like it on hole 13.
TSR2 or Stealth 2 fairway? Off the turf is the only test I trust.
Two fairway woods that sell versatility. I compared the tight lie, not the launch monitor screenshot.
MCC or Crossline? I cared about the 15th hole, not the first.
Two grips everyone has used. I compared them wet, worn, and after a cart-path morning.
RTX6 or Jaws Raw? I wanted spin after the third week, not day one.
Two Vokey alternatives that sell the face. I compared what is left when the grooves are no longer new.
Maxfli Tour or Vice Pro? I wanted the urethane that is not a costume.
Two balls that claim Pro V1 performance for less. I compared them as golf balls, not as a protest vote.
e12 Contact or ERC Soft? Distance balls that do not need a tour sticker.
I compared them as weekend balls. If you wanted a Pro V1, you would have bought one.
Tour Response or Z-Star XV? Mid-range is where the math gets honest.
A cheaper TaylorMade urethane versus Srixon’s firmer tour ball. I compared who each one is for.
Is the Costco ball still the one that started a war?
I wanted to know if Kirkland still embarrasses a Pro V1 — or if that story is five years stale.
EyeLine or Explanar? Swing-plane gadgets that have to earn the garage space.
I compared them as homework, not as a cure. Most of you do not need both.
Oakley or Rudy? I wanted to see the shot, not the logo.
Golf sunglasses as a tool. I compared glare, fit, and whether I would still wear them on hole 16.
i530 or King Tour? Tour-inspired is not a tour iron.
Two irons that want to look smaller than they play. I compared the miss, not the badge.
Wilson Staff Model or Honma? I wanted a tour ball without the default logo.
Two premium balls that do not win the parking-lot argument. That might be the point.
Supersoft or Tour Soft? Budget balls still have a job.
I compared the two-piece-ish options people actually finish. Not the ones they lose and do not care about.
Vice Pro Plus or Snell MTB-X? Direct-to-consumer is not a free lunch.
Two DTC urethane balls. I compared the ball, not the unboxing.
Chrome Soft or Z-Star? I wanted a tour ball that is not a default.
Callaway’s soft tour ball versus Srixon’s. I compared flight and greenside, not the staff bag.
Launcher XL2 or Big Bertha? I wanted the one that stays in the fairway.
Game-improvement drivers. The launch video can sit this one out. I compared the miss.
Blueprint T or Pro 221? If you need help, stop reading.
Two pure players irons. I compared turf and a thin one. That is the whole review.
T200 or P790? Mid-handicap distance is a crowded room.
I wanted to know which one still looks like an iron at address when you are tired of game-improvement.
I didn’t need a new putter. I needed to know if the classic still holds.
White Hot OG versus a Special Select. No zero-torque pitch. Just two old ideas that still show up in good bags.
Tiger’s ball or the Pro V1? I am not Tiger. Neither are you.
Tour stickers are not a fitting. I compared Tour B XS and Pro V1 as amateur golf balls.
I wanted the driver that survives a miss. Not the one in the ad.
G440 Max versus Aerojet Max. Forgiveness is the brief. Everything else is chrome.
P790 or Apex Pro? Distance players irons still have to be irons.
The hollow-body argument. I compared the miss and whether the click is a dealbreaker.
Orange Whip or SuperSpeed? They are not even the same homework.
One is a tempo stick. One is a speed program. I compared them as jobs, not as toys.
PuttOut or Perfect Practice? Home putting aids that have to survive the living room.
A pressure trainer versus a mat. I compared the thing I would actually leave out.
AVX or TP5x? Low spin is a fitting. Again.
Two premium balls that want to fly flatter. I compared them for the golfer who already hits it high.
Arccos or Shot Scope? I only care if I will actually wear it.
Automatic tracking is useful the season you do not quit the sensors. That is the comparison.
Toptracer or Full Swing KIT? Range tech is only as honest as the bay.
I compared them as practice tools, not as entertainment. The number still has to mean something.
Golf Course Data Licensing: Golf Intelligence vs. iGolf vs. GolfLogix vs. Maps4Golf
Behind every GPS watch yardage, every app-displayed green map, and every rangefinder distance, there’s a data licensing layer that most golfers never think about. Golf…
Studio Style or OZ.1? Stability is the brief. The rest is branding.
Two high-MOI putters that want to stay square. I ignored the pedigree and asked which one actually does.
Mezz.1 or Toulon? I wanted to know if the insert still matters.
Physics-first LAB versus Odyssey’s tour-craft story. Same price neighborhood. Different religion.
Vokey or Ping S159? I cared about the wet Tuesday, not the grind chart.
Shot-making versus a wedge that still spins when the turf is ugly. That is the actual fork.
Qi10 LS or Elyte? Low spin is a fitting, not a personality.
Two low-spin drivers that will punish the wrong swing. I said that first.
G430 or ZX5? I wanted help that still looks like an iron.
Ping’s forgiveness versus Srixon’s idea of a game-improvement cavity. I compared the thin one.
Ai-ONE or Bettinardi? I do not buy putters for the press release.
An AI insert versus milled steel. I compared the roll, not the algorithm.

One is the mallet you see on TV. One is the milled one people buy when they are done with TV.
ZX7 or T150? I wanted a players cavity, not a slogan.
Srixon’s compact cavity versus Titleist’s in-between iron. I compared who each one is actually for.
Carbon face or the Titleist? I wanted the one that stays in play.

A tour mallet versus a groove pitch. I compared them as mallets I would actually stand over.
T100 or JPX 925 Forged? Feel is not a personality test.
Players irons for people who will notice a thin one. I compared the miss and the turf, not the forging poem.
Qi10 or Ai Smoke? I stopped reading the launch videos.
TaylorMade and Callaway have been trading the same driver argument for years. I wanted the version that still works on a miss.
Newport 2 or DF3? They are not even having the same argument.
A blade that sells feel versus a putter that sells physics. I compared them as two different jobs.
TruSwing, Arccos, or Zepp? A swing analyzer you quit is a paperweight.
I compared them as something that stays on the club. Arccos, Garmin, Zepp — no launch-week sensors.
Blast, Arccos Putting, or SAM? I wanted data I would actually use.
Three putting-data tools. I compared the one that survives a month, not a demo day.
Pro 243 or PXG 0317 T? Compact is not the same as better.
Two small heads for people who will notice a miss. I compared feel and the price argument.
